Everything ready for the celebration of a new edition of the ADIR course
Sala MútuaTerrassa Edifici Docent - Sant Antoni, 39 - Terrassa - Scientific eventsBetween February 7 and 9, the teaching building will host a new edition of the training course, research and clinical accreditation on ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised) organized by the Children and Youth Psychiatry Unit of the Mútua Terrassa University Hospital (HUMT).
As in the past editions, the direction of this course will be borne by Dr. Amaia Hervás, psychiatrist and coordinator of the Unit. Dr. Hervás is a national and international reference in the formation of these diagnostic tools ADI-R and ADOS2 by the University of London (UK), Newcastle University (UK) and Cornell University New York (USA) . -

I Workshop. Axillary endoscopic thyroidectomy

The day will begin at 8.15am, in the MútuaTerrassa room of the Edifici Docent de MútuaTerrassa.
The continuous innovation in the field of General Surgery and in particular of Endocrine Surgery has promoted the development of new techniques and surgical approaches without visible scars. This new technological era creates the need to train and train endocrine surgeons in these new surgical skills to effectively solve the medical problems posed.

Conference The day of childbirth

They are talks about what space is like and what a special day a mother will live when she enters the Delivery Room of the MútuaTerrassa University Hospital. These talks will be in charge of the midwives of MútuaTerrassa. -

Dijous de Mútua - Prostate cancer, how it affects men

Next Thursday, November 30, at 6:00 pm in the MútuaTerrassa Teaching Building, the last conference of the Dijous de Mútua 2017 cycle will take place, under the title: "Prostate cancer, how it affects men", which will run to position of Dr. Josep Maria Caballero, head of the Urology Department of the MútuaTerrassa University Hospital.
In this sense, Dr. Josep Maria Caballero will talk about the risk factors related to prostate cancer, since it is the second most common cancer diagnosed in our country and the fifth with the highest mortality.
The only way to detect this type of cancer early is by informing about the tests to be carried out through family doctors or the urologist.
"Els Dijous de Mútua" were born in 2003 to disseminate current medical topics and inform in an understandable way about everything that worries society.

The MútuaTerrassa Teaching and Research Foundation organizes the 4th scientific day under the title "Microbiome and Human Health"

It will have the participation of Dr. Didier Raoult, renowned French microbiologist specialized in infectious diseases.
Next Friday, November 24, the MútuaTerrassa Teaching and Research Foundation will hold the fourth edition of the scientific day that organizes periodically with the purpose of highlighting its scientific and research work. On this occasion, the chosen theme is the microbiome (the set of microorganisms that inhabit the human body, taking into account their genomes and their interrelation with the organism) and human health.
The session includes a workshop around the Microbiota that will take place between 11 and 1pm. In this sense, it will be addressed from three different prisms: "Microbiota and antibiotic resistance", by Dr. Jordi Vila of the Microbiology Service of the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, "Microbiota and inflammatory bowel disease", by Dr. Francisco Guarner of the Digestive Service of the Vall d'Hebrón Hospital in Barcelona and "Microbiota and HIV infection", by Dr. Roger Paredes of the Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol and of the IrsiCaixa de Badalona.
